    Citing electronic journal articles

    When using the MLA style to cite articles from electronic journals, be sure to include the following infomration about the article:

    • author(s)
    • full title of the article (include subtitle if present)
    • title of the electronic journal
    • volume and issue numbers of the journal
    • year of the article
    • page numbers
    • date when the researcher retreived or accessed the source
    • name of any company, institution, or organization sponsoring or associated with the Web site
    • electronic address, or URL, of the source or, for a subscription service, the URL of the service's main page (if known) or the


    Example:

    Correia, Joao P. "Tooth loss rate from two captive sandtiger
            sharks." Zoo Biology,18.4 (1999): 313-317. 25 Jan. 
            1999 <http://www3.interscience.wiley.com>.
