    PC Users: Get the Plug in for Write-N-Cite

    1. Login to RefWorks.
    2. Near the top center of the screen, select Write-N-Cite.
    3. Read the download instructions.
    4. Select Click here to download the plug-in.
      The plug-in is not necessary, but very useful. The plug-in can only be installed on personal computers (not Macintoshes). It cannot be installed on public computers or computers in campus computing facilities.
    5. Select Save if another window appears. Save the file to your desktop.
    6. Log out and close RefWorks.
    7. Find the Write-N-Cite plug-in (wncinstall.exe) and double-click on it. Follow the instructions and the Write-N-Cite wizard will install the program.
    8. When asked to restart your computer, select, OK.
    9. After the computer restarts, open Microsoft Word and you will see the red Write-N-Cite button on the tools bar.
