    Citing newspaper articles

    When using the MLA style to cite articles in newspapers, include the following information:

    • author(s) of the article
    • full title of the article (include subtitle if present)
    • title of the newspaper in which the article appears
    • section and page numbers in which the article appeared
    • date of publication

    Example:

    Tabor, Mary B. W.  "Despite Low Prestige and Pay, More Answer the Call to Teach:  
              College Students are Increasingly Showing Interest in Teaching Profession."  
              New York Times 11 Jul. 1999: N1+.
